Despite my constant struggle with weight maintenance, I’m still a foodie at heart. Global Village Dubai is literally a Foodie’s Heaven, thus, multiple trips are required to complete at least 25% of the food’s listings, as it ranges from restaurants, coffee shops, independent food vendors, kiosks street, floating market & Pavilion’s specialty food stands.
This list will be changed every time I visit GB “Insha Allah”, so far my visits:
– 20th Season: 1 time [28 Nov 2015]
*Sobia Drink (Egyptian Pavilion)
I tried Sobia for the 1st time when I was a kid in a trip to Egypt, I fell in love with it but couldn’t find it anywhere else afterwards, then when I first visited GV in 2015, I noticed that each pavilion has its own country’s specialty, so I thought to myself “Hey Egypt Pavilion might have Sobia!” I was correct, they did, so I had it again after 18 years lol, it is sweet Milk mixed with Coconut as well as some secret ingredients, the only problem is the vendors themselves, some vendors mix it with water that makes it taste bad, but if the vendor makes it perfectly with no flaws, it’ll taste amazing.

*Omani Halwa (Next to Bahrain Pavilion)
If you’re familiar with Halwa Al-Diwania (the famous Omani chain), this is very similar because they did have Halwa with Honey & Halwa with Figs, cooked on spot, served hot & fresh, Aka: Deeelicious! I found it cooking in a vendor’s giant pots next to Bahrain Pavilion, however it was only available in 2016, I have no idea why they stopped debuting in GV among the following years *Cries*.
*Poutine (Kiosks Street)
The Canadian famous fries, I visited Canada 2 times so I had it there, however, the GV Poutine is just as good, hot fries with cheese & gravy, such a heart warming dish on chilled nights.
*Bahraini Showaiter Halwa (Bahrain Pavilion)
Bahrain as a country is famous for its many Halwa Brands, I personally prefer Showaiter as I always buy from them every time I visit, but if you cant go to Bahrain dont worry, GB got you covered, Bahrain Pavilion has many Showaiter Halwa already packed in boxes, so grab some for Home.

*Boba Milk Chachak Fresh Thai Milk Tea with Pearl (Floating Market)
I love Bubble Tea but it’s a challenge to find ones of good quality, this one was really tasty, I went “Ummm” the moment I sipped it, the bubbles tasted fresh & good as well, it’s a must try even if you’re not into cold milk tea. I found it in a Thai food vendor across the floating Market.
*Turkish Baqlawa (Turkish Pavilion)
Baqlawa can be found almost everywhere in the world, but in GV’s Turkish Pavilion, they have so many varieties stuffed with different ingredients, so grab a mixed box for Home.

*Kesar Phirni (Pakistan Pavilion)
This orange colored sweet is SOOO Good, my eyes popped out coz of it’s dreamy taste, definitely worth the calories, Oh & 1 is not enough coz the pot is very small, you’d have to stock up 2-3 for home, it is located in Pakistan’s Pavilion, at the little food stand just before the last exit, I never considered entering Pakistan’s Pav before 2019, so it’s a shame I haven’t come across this amazing sweet before *Cries*.
*Luqaimat with Dates Syrup (Traditional Kitchen)
OK, Luqaimat in general is not new to me because my mom is a “master” in making it, but ours is made with sugar syrup, this one is made with Dates Syrup, it is SOOO delicious, it’s served hot as it is made fresh on spot, Traditional Kitchen can be found at the beginning of GV near the entry or later along the food kiosks street. PS: Choose the VERY SMALL one because they’re gonna fill it up way above the top (10-12 Balls), it is enough for 3 people, YES I’m taking about the Very SMALL one, also, it does cause bloating, so make sure you eat it at the end of your food fiesta. For Nutella fans *Me included* Luqaimat topped with Nutella is also available, but I didn’t like it, so I’d definitely stick with the Dates syrup one as it is truly legendary.
For Dinner, I took a gamble on Mighty Quinns & HIT THE JACKPOT, it’s difficult to find tasty Burgers & Chicken sandwiches, but this place is BOMB, I tried the Smoked Pulled Chicken Buffalo, it is SOO DAMN GOOD, though I’m not a Buffalo sauce girl but the taste was AMAZING, so I could imagine how the other sandwiches would taste like *Cries*, too bad I could only get 1, next time I’ll try other menu sandwiches Insha Allah.
*Japanese Sweet Potato (Japan Pavilion)
This is not your usual sweet potato, they have it boiled & ready for you, so it is eaten cold but very tasty, I left it in the fridge for 1 week, still the same good taste, I did babble in Japanese for a couple of minutes with the Japanese guy selling it since I’m an Otaku lol.
*Iranian Treats (Iranian Pavilion)
My personal picks would be, Vanilla Cotton Candy & Jangali mix sweet & sour candy, the red & peach ones are the best, Grab some for Home.

*Kout Coffee Original Frappe (Kiosks Street)
There are sooo many coffee shops & Coffee vendors in GV, I came across Kout Coffee as I was strolling round the Kiosks St, I tried their Original Frappe, so delicious, strong kick of coffee mixed with Caramel & rich Cream, it is also kind of thick, loved it!, this compliment is coming from me ( a VERY picky girl) when it comes to her coffee lol.

Cheesy Corn Dog (Tuck Inn, Floating market)
OMG this is SO Good, no wonder Trisha loves it, it’s half cheese and half hotdog, I didn’t like the hotdog part because the hotdog itself didn’t taste good, but the CHEESE PART is soooooooo delicious, the cheese inside is melted, and topped with sweet sauce, the combination is delicious ❤️.
Churros
It’s very tasty specially when it’s just taken out of the fry, they add sugar on it, which is way better than cinnamon as I could taste the original dough of the churros, it comes with chcolate as a side but trsut me DROP IT, the churros alone is way better.

I ordered it extra sweet, Super delicious and refreshing, specially after the long walk, it’s kind of similar to Ole’s Coffee Spanish latte.

Kabab Zaman Awal كباب زمان أول (Tikka Lham)
This is not your usual Kabab, the moment I laid eye on it, I knew it’s gonna be similar to my late uncle’s recipe as he used to prepare it during camping, and I was right, it’s soooo delicious, it is very light and has a lemony taste (my Uncle one’s were denser), combined with light Iranian Bread ❤️. Ps: 1 portion is small but it’s enough if you wanna devour other food lol.
Onion Mahshi (Mahshy Station)
Onion stuffed with rice & dipped in pomegranate sweet syrup دبس الرمان ❤️, the seller told us we’ll be hooked and YES we were LOL, we returend to get another one before GV closed ❤️.

Delicious sweet Spanish latte coffee which was very refreshing when you had long walks in GV (Non-Costa).
*Omani Halwa (Halwa Alseef, Oman Pav)
As always Omani Halwa is the best no matter what brand. This year it’s Al Seef. Honey Halwa, Fig Halwa and Saffron Halwa = Perfection ❤️
*Stuffed Cabbage & Onion
Sooo Delicious and must get (PS: They also had Lemon Vine Leaves + Spicy Vine Leaves + Zucchini which I didn’t like)

Super delicious ❤️ I always thought Krispy Kreme had the best doughnuts, but this one is very delicious and different. It’s texture is full of dough not cakey at all. I got the Sugar one SUPER Delicious and also the Pistachio which was good even when it got cold العيينة مالته عييين و حتى لما برد يينن
*Signature Burger (AD Burger)
Super Delicious, juicy fat burger. I ate it in the car while heading home. despite the fact that it was cold yet it was soooo good, so how about when it was actually hot?

*Spicy Vine Leaves (Golden Warag ورق ذهب)
The Spicy vine leaves really stand out and the rice melts in the mouth ❤️ it was also sooo good when we ate it cold at home.
*Truffle Burger (Flavorsome Burgers)
OMG you know how DIFFICULT it is to please me when it comes to burgers! But this one is WOW, it’s smashed but soooo JUICY topped with caramelized onion and truffle sauce! The bun itself is also awesome!
*Iced Spanish Latte (Iran Pavilion)
I really liked it, although any non costa coffee from anywhere RARELY satisfies me, but this one did, not too sweet and very refreshing ❤️ and the coffee doesn’t taste like Nescafe. Thank God.
*Beef Wrap No yogurt (Tantuni)
Shawarma yet unusual and different ❤️ Juicy beef, Spicy kick, Light wrap = Excellence ❤️
PS: Still good even cold at home.
*Swirl chips (Hot chips)
Very delicious and DELICATE, but make sure it is withOUT salt and pepper.

I really liked the Sweet Chili coated one ❤️ PS: Disliked Pistachio, Cinnamon/Vanilla, the salted caramel was OK, but I felt like it tastes kind of like popcorn.
*Omani Halwa (Qaser Al Diwania)
EXCELLENT AS EVER, though it’s a different brand. Honey one & Fig one FTW.

Delicious & Juicy ❤️ Drizzled with sweet soya kind of sauce ❤️. PS: Ask for extra sauce coz they tend to add just a little. (4 pics)
*Classic Beef Burger (Flat Burger)
Really liked this one coz it has KFC’s spicy orange sauce. This is my first time trying the sauce with a beef burger instead of chicken + The crunchy onion ❤️ + The flatbread ❤️ = Awesomeness ❤️ (2 pics)
*Platano Banana Chips (Platano)
OMG Soooooo Goooood يييننن. The banana chips are served hot and so sweet & delicious ❤️ The green sauce is AMAZING, even the yogurt is good to balance the taste. PS: At home when it got cold = Still Delicious ❤️ This is the 1st Highlight of this year ❤️. (3 pics)
The above food items were my favorites, but I did try many other things, which I either didn’t like or found it “Normal, Nothing special”, in conclusion, it’s not worth buying, here’s a list
