Europe Airport Lounges

United Kingdom (UK) Airport Lounges:

-London Airport Lounges-

*British Airways Galleries First Lounge (LHR T5)*

Food: 5/10
Though this is the BA first class lounge, the food buffet is pretty much average, it wasn’t that multi-cultural cuisine either, I noticed a “Shepard Pie” but haven’t tried it, I didn’t really find anything to enjoy, except the same potato chips that I got onboard the airplane lol. PS: We haven’t tried their menu items.
Comfort & Busyness: 2/10
A huge difference of heaven & earth between Etihad & Emirates first class lounges & British Airways first class lounge, though it’s a very big lounge but sooooo crowded, I was never comfortable as the buffet area & mostly all seating areas were so busy, I actually preferred to sit in one of the “Lounge Key” lounges than this 1st class one.

*British Airways Galleries First Lounge (LHR T3)*

Food: 8/10
Breakfast buffet is tasty & full of varieties, they also had “Menu Items”, ordered a veggie omelette, though I asked for it to be runny but it did come out well done *Sighs*. PS: my husband made me sad while I was eating my omelette, I kept eating & trying not to cry.
Comfort & Busyness: 6/10
The design is kinda of gloomy in mostly all seating areas (Grey color), but I did feel a bit cozy, also, it’s not that busy, I guess T5 got the main 1st class one.

*SkyTeam Lounge (LHR T4)*

Food: 9/10
I actually preferred this lounge over the BA 1st class lounge, though the buffet is small but it’s VERY tasty, I remember eating chicken curry & rice, I kept going back for it lol, so delicious, pasta as well.
Comfort & Busyness: 10/10
It felt sooo cozy, not crowded, indeed I was well relaxed.

*Qatar Airways First Class Lounge (LHR T4)*

Food: 10/10
The buffet is definitely a 5 star hotel one, it has sooo many Arabic cuisine including grills, as well as multi-cultural, in addition to varieties of sweets, chefs were on spot preparing food, also, there’re different kinds of candy which can be picked in a take away box, I think they did serve *Menu Items* but haven’t tried it.
Comfort & Busyness: 4/10
Unfortunately it’s VERY crowded & worse, all GCC nationals! so Staring, Staring & more Staring! this alone made me uncomfortable, also, there were so many people sitting almost everywhere, noisy children as well.

*Cathay Pacific First Class Lounge (LHR T3)*

Food: Haven’t tried it but my husband did, he said it’s okay, I looked at their menu, they did have so many Chinese stuff like noodles, but I cant judge.
Comfort & Busyness: 10/10
The lounge is big in size but very quiet, it’s almost empty, the blend of the design & colors is very soothing & calms the mind, it almost felt like “Feng shui” positive energy stuff lol, unfortunately I went to the bathroom the moment I got there, took along time so I didn’t enjoy this amazing atmosphere *Cries*.

*Emirates Business Class Lounge (LHR)*

Comfort & Busyness: 5/10
I was visiting this lounge prior to 2008, so I’m pretty sure they’ve changed it by now, however, if I’m gonna write about the past experiences, I’d say the lounge was a bit small for the great Emirates Airlines, plus it was busy, I wasn’t comfortable under such circumstances.

*Emirates Business Class Lounge (LGW)*

Food: 10/10
The buffet isn’t just a variety of multi-cultural cuisine, it is actually VERY delicious, during my last trip on Christmas, I’ve had a yummy Thai curry with rice, as well as baked Lasagna that tasted WAY above my expectation for the typical Italian dish, also, I’m not a soup person, but the soup was TASTY! as for sweets, there were special Christmas themed sweets like the famous “Mince Tart”, in addition to raisin cake with vanilla cream, I really enjoyed the lovely food.
Comfort & Busyness: 9/10
The lounge is big, seating areas were all the same except the buffet ones, comfortable sofas, nice staff, it wasn’t busy, I did relax before my flight.

-Northern Ireland (Belfast) Airport Lounges-

*Aspire Lounge (BHD)*

Food: 5/10
I would give it a 9 if it had main meal buffet which it doesn’t, merely some light stuff if I recall, but for sweets, they really deserve credit, a variety of delicious cakes are available, carrot, lemon, caramel cakes, etc, although I’m not a cake girl (I adore sweets but usually the last thing I’d pick is cake) but these cakes were really fresh & high quality, it’s texture is very soft <3 raisin scones were available as well.
Coffee: 5/10 Machine coffee which is not that good.
Comfort & Busyness: 9/10
There are 2 seating areas, comfortable sofas next to the giant windows of the beautiful view of aircrafts, the view is very calming specially at night with all the sparkles of lights, also, chairs/tables area in the middle, moreover, it’s not that crowded so that’s a bonus.

Azerbaijan (Baku) Airport Lounges (GYD):

*Business Class Lounge (T1)*

Food: 3/10
There are no main course items, merely a variety of pastries, I tried them all, tasted average except one pastry I ADORED! I even asked if it’s an Azeri specialty, “Blincik” is the name, it consists of cottage cheese but tastes so sweeeeet, in terms of overall food I give a 2, but the Blincik alone deserves a 10, also, one piece is not enough, be prepared to eat at least 4 lol, I also took some for home.
Comfort & Busyness: 7/10
The design is kinda of stylish as it is black themed, it was comfortable too, not busy.
